We collaborate with you and our team to create successful commercial interior design for your clientele, intangible luxury interior design for your home or resort, and inspiring yet practical architectural interior design for new builds and remodels.
Our home office is based in Volcano, Hawaii, on the Big Island, and we travel frequently to our showrooms & warehouses in Kailua-Kona & Waimea.
Our approach to color
Incorporate textures and tones that you find in your wardrobe. Most of us select our clothing more intuitively than paint colors or tile. Just for fun, look at the colors in your closet. Ask yourself, what outfits make you happy? These are the colors that should surround you in your home. Luxury interior design is a result of well thought out solutions, not the dollar amount. Using architectural interior design, and space planning, we propose solutions with a purpose.

With over 20 years of experience in the residential and resort industry, Jule Lucero can provide you with easy, yet creative solutions for your home or business. Our practice focuses on commercial interior design, architectural interior design, luxury interior design for quality residential.
Our furnishings packages are tailored just your you. We source local, and online vendors to create several procurement packages:
Basic: Primary furnishings including the basic pieces for your interior & exterior living areas.
Resourceful: Includes the Basic selections, with the addition of prominent ancillary furniture, focal art & accessories, major window coverings, moveable light fixtures and table decor.
Finesse: Includes the above with the addition of linens for kitchen, bed & bath.
We start with Concept Design & Space Plan, then create a budget for your approval. We will purchase & coordinate installation.
Based in Volcano, Hawaii on the Big Island, we cover all areas on the Islands, with frequent stays in Kailua-Kona & Waimea. But we don't limit our services to geography, and provide remote & digital services world wide.
About us & how we work with you
Jule Lucero, Principal Interior Designer, has been a professional Interior Architectural Designer for over 20 years, practicing on Oahu and California. Here are her words to most clients:
I moved to Volcano in 2022, from Oahu. I travel to projects and resources in Kona, Honolulu & Maui County on a regular basis.
I am a licensed and certified designer, designing and coordinating remodels, new home builds and commercial projects.
If a Permit is required, I coordinate with the appropriate engineers to submit applications. I have contractors I work with to provide full general contracting, or I coordinate the licensed subcontractors and/or installers.
I start by meeting you, at your home to learn more about your project’s goals, budget, and parameters.
Some clients prefer a 90-minute design consultation, in which I spend time offering design options and ideas. Then I can follow up with a sketch, concept photos and resources for finishes, fixtures, etc...
For most projects, I start with the following process:
BASE drawings-
- Scaled floor plan, wall elevations, noting plumbing, electrical, etc. of existing conditions.
- I will use your existing plans if available, or measure and draw this by hand or CAD.
CONCEPT DESIGN-
- Space Plan and other drawings or sketches of proposed design solutions, one or more options.
- Mood Boards, digital layout of images & photos of elements which will create the look and feel of the overall design.
BUDGET ESTIMATE-
I use a spreadsheet to itemize the scope of work, for materials, fixtures, and labor costs.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT-
This includes a variety of elements, depending upon Your project and goals. This phase basically includes the final stages of Design, prior to Permit submittal, Engineering coordination, Procurement (purchasing of materials) Contractor estimates and coordination, Installation.
I charge for my services in 2 different ways, depending upon your preference:
Hourly (Time & Expenses) – Usually have a NTE (not to exceed $)
Lump Sum- I estimate the time required for each phase and submit a Proposal.
I always require a Deposit, anywhere from $300 for Consultation – to $1,000 - $5,000 for more involved projects.
